Will my insurance cover lactation services?
Some insurance companies in Ontario such as Manulife, Great West Life, Sunlife, and GreenShield offer coverage for IBCLC services. Your employer determines what coverage is offered to you as an employee. It is recommended to check in with your employer to discuss what is included in your benefit package. We do not offer direct billing but we will provide you with a receipt.
Do you offer weekend/
evening appointments?
We do!
We will contact you to discuss your availability to see what time and day works best for you.
We will try our very best to accommodate you in a timely manner.
When should I see a lactation consultant?
You can reach out to an IBCLC anytime you need support/guidance regarding infant feeding.
It might be a good idea to seek help from an IBCLC if you are experiencing pain with feeding, have flat/inverted nipples, having difficulty with latch or positioning, are returning to work, or are experiencing conditions such as: low milk supply, engorgement or mastitis.
